During periods of heavy call volumes, there will be times when a customer attempting to reach our Claims Center will receive a rapid busy signal or be told all circuits are busy.  Both of these situations signify there are no lines available at the time of your call.  Your call is important to us.  Helpful tips to consider when you are experiencing problems getting through are provided for your convenience. 

Currently the Vermont Department of Labor is authorized to pay Federal Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC) to individuals who have exhausted and are ineligible for state unemployment compensation.   Further information about the EUC program is available in the Info Center under Press Releases.  Individuals who have already received their full regular and extended benefit entitlement will be mailed filing instructions if/when additional benefits become available.  Information about future extensions (if/when) available will be posted on the web page.  In either case, a notice will be mailed.  If a recipient’s mailing address changes, such change must be submitted in writing to enable notification.
