Veterans Day provides us with the opportunity to recognize and honor the courageous individuals who have made countless sacrifices to preserve our freedom and protect our country. Without their bravery and service, we would not have the many freedoms we all enjoy.
Annually, there are over 200,000 individuals across the country transitioning from military to civilian life. Here at the Department, we honor those individuals by providing specialized employment service to all veterans and work hard to make sure their extensive training, skill development, and military experiences, are transferred to their civilian work-life.
On behalf of the Department, thank you to all those who have served, including members of my own family, and especially those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Your service is appreciated each and every day.
